This week’s cooking for the cure recipe is a lactose free strawberry smoothie. I’ve substituted the milk for almond milk and added some flaxseeds to give the smoothie some additional nutrients. I’m not a big fan of the taste of flaxseeds, but adding them to the smoothie gets rid of their bitter taste.

½ cup almond milk
½ cup frozen strawberries
2 tbsp of flaxseeds
4 or 5 ice cubes
- Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
- Serve in a cold glass.
